The house is a weekend retreat located on the Santa Fe River just north of Gainesville, squarely in the middle of Gator country.
The river house is raised twenty feet above grade to escape the river flood plain. The house is wood frame construction with unfinished cypress siding, aluminum clad windows and a 5 star v-crimp metal roof.
The dwelling is designed around a centrally located screened porch that can be accessed from the Living Room, Kitchen and Master Bedroom. Located above the porch is a roof deck accessed by ladder that affords sweeping views of the river.
